BBQ Pork Skewers


500 g pork fillet, 2 cm cubes
100 g thick pork fat, 2 cm cubes
For the marinade:
3 clove(s) garlic, crushed
½ tsp black pepper, freshly ground
½ tsp Szechuan pepper, freshly ground
1 tsp five spice powder
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. honey
1 pinch(es) salt to taste

Preparation Method

Mix marinade ingredients, add meat pieces and stir well to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Thread the meat and fat onto soaked bamboo or metal skewers. Cook on the BBQ until browned and cooked through.

Serve as a starter or as a meal for 2 with peanut sauce.

Tip: Arrange the skewers on a rack over a roasting pan and cook in a preheated oven (180C) for about 40 minutes. Turn once. Brown under a hot grill for about 3 minutes if necessary.
