Fruity Mulled Wine


250 mlwater
1orange, zest and juice
2 stick(s)cinnamon
5 tbspcaster sugar
½ tspnutmeg, roughly grated
1apple, roughly chopped with skin
1 lfruity, dry red wine

Preparation method

Heat ingredients except the red wine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Add red wine, bring to simmer, reduce heat and let steep for another 5 minutes. Strain and serve hot.

Serving suggestion: add Amaretto or Rum to taste.
