Pickled Easter Eggs


14 hard boiled eggs
1 l water
1 tbsp. thyme, chopped
1 tsp marjoram
2 tbsp. dried mixed herbs
1 tbsp. basil, chopped
1 tbsp. chives, chopped
10 small allspice grains, ground
4 bay leaves, chopped
2 tbsp. salt

Preparation Method

Lightly crack the eggshells with a spoon. Place the eggs into a large jar and add half of the salt and all the herbs.

Bring the water with the remaining salt to a boil and pour over the eggs. Cover the jar and allow to soak for 2 days.
